Boddington Field of Quilts Patch'n' Paint for Pleasure display
Patch N Paint for Pleasure, Narrogin’s leading Craft shop, has gained fame nationally and internationally attracting visitors from all over the world. The shops proprietor, Margaret Paternoster said that visitors from as far away as South Africa, New Zealand and Singapore had visited Narrogin to go to the shop.
On Thursday this week another coach full of visitors this time from Balingup in the states south west came to town to visit the shop. The visitors chartered a bus to get them all here. Margaret Paternoster said that while they were in Narrogin she encouraged her visitors to visit other attractions and shops in Narrogin.
Patch N Paint had gained such a strong following by stocking well sought after fabrics and patterns and other accessories for quilt making and patch work. As well as selling sewing machines, the business can provide instruction and other assistance for would be quilters.
Friday is always “open house” when any quilter can take their sewing machine to the shop quilt all day and obtain the benefits of the company of other quilters.
Local businessman David Russell said “Margaret is to be congratulated on the way she continues to promote the town. If other business did the same the town would be a lot better off”
The visitors enjoyed hospitality at Patch N Paint for Pleasure while they inspected the wonderful selection of quilts.
